He had completed his Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy at the University of the West Indies School of Physical Therapy in 2010. Dr. Watson then moved on to complete his one (1) year internship at the University Hospital of the West Indies and the Kingston Public Hospital. While practicing at these facilities he was exposed to pediatric rehabilitation, critical care rehabilitation, orthopedic (pre op and post op) rehabilitations and outpatient rehabilitation. On completion of his internship program; Dr. Rushauy Watson was employed to the St Ann’s Bay Hospital in 2011, where he practiced as a registered physical therapist for two (2) years. During his time at this facility his hard work and dedication spike the interest of the medical staff committee of the Jamaica Football Federation; hence, he was called to represent his country as a physical therapist. Dr. Watson was given responsibility to manage the rehabilitation needs of the national senior football team during the World cup qualifications in 2013. He spent approximately three (3) years with the federation while operating his private practice to which he operated part time while at the St. Ann’s Bay Hospital. On demands and the need for expansion Dr. Watson resigned from the hospital to partake full time in his private practice. The growth of the practice spiked; hence, he resigned from the Jamaica Football Federation in 2016 to focus solely on the operation of his private practice. Over the period (2013 to 2016), Dr. Watson with his hard work and perseverance was also enrolled as a part-time member of staff at Hospiten Jamaica, with sole responsibility for rehabilitation services to crew member from the different cruise line upon embarkation in Falmouth Jamaica. In 2016, Dr. Watson saw the need for further studies as the growth of his private practice spiked. He then enrolled in Utica College in the United States, where he pursued his doctoral degree in physical therapy. Dr. Watson with his excellent time management skills, hard work and dedication was awarded doctor of physical therapy in 16 months. Dr. Watson continues to strive for excellence; hence, since his Doctoral award in 2017 he has been enrolled in various course to advance his management and treatment skills to which he is certified. Dr. Watson with his vast experience as a leader and as a practicing physical therapist seek to contribute to the lives of individuals in the island of Jamaica through medical services.
